Principal's Message

Dear Sunland Parents,

I am thrilled and honored to be the Principal of Sunland Elementary, a community of dedicated educators, enthusiastic students and supportive parents.

Sunland is a special place where collaboration, respect and a passion for learning are deeply rooted.

I have been an educator for over twenty-four years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal and principal at three different schools. Throughout, I have been committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged and supported.

I believe that education is a partnership between the school and home and I am eager to work closely with each member of our school community to ensure the success and well-being of our students.

As principal, my priorities include:

Academic Excellence: Ensuring that our curriculum is rigorous and engaging and that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential
Safety and Well-being: Maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive emotionally, socially and academically
Community Engagement: Building strong connections with families and the broader community to support our school’s goals and initiatives
Inclusivity and Respect: Promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and appreciation for diversity, where every student and family feels welcomed and valued

I am committed to upholding the high standards of Sunland and working together to help it become the premier elementary in the District.

My door is always open and I look forward to working with all our stakeholders.
