Principal's Message

 

My name is Karen Eshel and it is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal and member of our Sunland Elementary School community.

 

This is my 27th year supporting Los Angeles Unified elementary students. Since graduating with my teaching credential and master’s degree from California State University, Northridge, I’ve worked in varying roles, as an elementary school teacher for more than half this time, and as a coordinator at various school sites. Most recently, I served as administrator at our district office providing support for multiple schools, as an Instructional Specialist and Instructional Coordinator.

 

With deep commitment and heart, I remain student-centered and will work in partnership with all our Sunland Elementary School community to provide a warm, welcoming, and nurturing academic learning environment for our students to thrive and be Ready for the World.

 

I look forward to building a strong working relationship with each and every family, as the school-home connection is an integral part of our Sunland ES students’ success.
